Why Gillingham Anchorians Rugby Club?
Team sport is an important aspect for child development. Rugby is very much a team sport and, here at Gillingham Anchorians Rugby Club, we value Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship above all else. These 5 core values are what makes the game so special.
When and Where?
We train Sunday mornings, 10-11am, at Anchorians Sports Club, Darland Avenue ME7. We also organise lots of fixtures for the kids from tournaments to friendlies so check our fixtures page to see where we’ll be in the day!
Who?
Girls and boys from Year R - Year 11. All abilities are welcome.

Do we need to buy kit?
Although not needed straight away, eventually your child will need the proper rugby kit. This helps them to feel part of the team and to play the game safely with the appropriate boots, gum shield and Anchorians’ rugby apparel.

We pride ourselves on having created an environment where all children, no matter their ability or needs, can enjoy training and match time to become the best version of themselves.
Our incredible volunteers have created the club we have today. They give up their free time to coach, learn and plan sessions. They keep the social media ticking along, plan events, bake cakes, and more.
We welcome new players to our ever growing family, players of all ages and ability, to join us in succeeding with smiles and laughter… and sometimes tears!
