End of Season Celebrations

The end of a season is always a bitter-sweet time for all involved. This year we have seen our Club grow not only in numbers but in skill, commitment and strength.

We want to thank everyone that has volunteered their time and so without further a due, thank you to Donna, Leah and Louise for always being there to help fill out forms, guide parents and flip burgers! Thank you to every single coach for giving up their Sunday mornings, come rain or shine, to train and for always encouraging the children with positive attitudes and a wealth of knowledge. Thank you to Tony Shand, our Safeguarding Officer, for always being on hand to guide the Club in a safe direction, always keeping up with the latest RFU policies and for Safeguarding our minis and youth teams. Thank you to Shaunagh and Claire for dedicating your time into growing our Girls’ Academy and for giving young girls in Gillingham and Medway a prosperous future. Thank you to parents for pushing your little ones to the best of their ability and giving them an opportunity to grow with us and for trusting us in this venture. But, most importantly, thank you to Simon Summersett, our Club’s Chairman, for giving up so much of your time and energy to make this space a fun and safe environment for all involved. In your short time as Chair, you have passionately lead the way for the future of the Anchorians Rugby and we are all very grateful.

The children have persevered through a difficult period where Covid-19 massively disrupted their little lives but they came back stronger than ever and with smiles on their faces. We couldn’t be more proud of them all and we hope to continue into the new season with the same dedication and intensity that they have shown this season.
